Preparing for Your Appointment

To help your appointment go smoothly, please:

Know what type of notarization you need.
If your document doesn't specify the notarial act, contact the document preparer or receiving agency. I can explain the differences, but I cannot choose the correct notarization or provide legal advice.

Bring a valid photo ID.
Your ID must be current, government-issued, and match the name on your document whenever possible.

Complete your document.
Your document should be filled out before your appointment, but do not sign it unless instructed to do so.

Make sure all signers are present.
Everyone whose signature requires notarization must be present with valid identification.

Be prepared to sign willingly.
I must verify that each signer understands the document and is signing voluntarily.

What to Bring

• The document to be notarized

• A valid government-issued photo ID

• Any additional signers (with ID)

• Payment for notarial services

Please Note

Birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, and other vital records cannot be notarized or certified by a notary. Certified copies must be obtained from the issuing government agency.
